「成功哲学」の元祖みたいな人、ナポレオン・ヒルの伝記がまんが形式で読みやすく。
大富豪カーネギーに２０年無給で師事し、成功者に共通する事象を洗い出して成功するための法則を体系化したのだが、いわく「成功者は積極的」「成功者は逆境にめげない」「成功者は目標を持っている」とか。
で、そうなるためにはどうしたら良いのかという心構えを「成功の法則」という本で説き、ベストセラーになったわけですわ。
共感できるし、そうやれば成功するだろうなぁと思わせる説得力があって心強い。
それになにより、お金だけを人生の成功としていないのが良い。人間的な成長を目指してこそ初めて幸せになれるというか。
…ただ、世界中のみんながこんな前向きな人間ばかりだと面白くないよなぁ。
この人の開発した成功の法則は自己啓発セミナー的だということで一部で問題視されていたりするらしいが、つまるところ、自己啓発セミナーに一般の人が抱く忌避感というのは僕が思ったのと同じく、みんなが同じ性格の前向き人間ばかりになってしまって気持ち悪い、というところなんじゃないだろか。
でも、後ろ向きな人よりは前向きな人ほど生きていきやすいし、周りからも好かれやすいだろう。よほどのひねくれもので無い限りみんなから好かれたいと願うのは当たり前の事なんじゃないのか。とか考えると社会全体が自己啓発セミナーみたいなもんだよな、と思ったり。
それはともかく、風邪をひいてる状態で昔に振られた女のミクシ日記を全部読んでからこれを読んだら凄い勢いで自己啓発セミナーに通いたくなった。ファッキン。
